Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority ICT-PEIRA
Policy and Coordination Section is a newly established section at ICT-PEIRA. The Section is primarily tasked for planning initiatives, conducting policy-gap analyses in order to cover policy-gaps and addressing grey-areas through development of auxiliary implementation frameworks, with respect to regulation of affairs of Private Educational Institutions operating in the jurisdiction of Islamabad Capital Territory.
Keeping in view the dynamics of education sector and to bring the private sector education in ICT at par with international standards, the Policy and Coordination streamlines the policies and implementation frameworks in line with the aims and objectives of the Authority, as enunciated in Section 4 of the Islamabad Capital Territory Private Educational Institutions (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2013.
The Policy and Coordination Section works under direct supervision of the Chairperson, in collaboration with all sections of ICT-PEIRA for effective intra-departmental and inter-departmental coordination concerning affairs related to standards in education, policy-development and implementation frameworks. The Wing is also entrusted with additional tasks that include Supervision of ICT-PEIRA’s Complaint Cell, for resolution of complaints received through surface mail, PEIRA’s Online Complaint Portal and Prime Pakistan Citizen’s Portal working under PMDU, in accordance with the SOPs.
